Recently, the North American promotion for the 2026 “Rising Jianghuai” Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Silicon Valley. Hosted by the competition’s North American team, the roadshow included keynote briefings and closed-door matchmaking sessions for US university research groups, hard-tech startups and venture capital firms. It introduced Anhui’s industrial strengths, innovation policies, landing support and competition application rules, attracting innovators in AI, advanced materials, life sciences and quantum information.
Organizers shared information on Anhui’s industrial chains, talent incentives, industrial parks and financing resources. They answered questions about project settlement, registration, prize distribution and resource docking. Many overseas teams expressed interest in participating, hoping to launch their projects in Anhui and access China’s industrial market. The event broadens overseas talent recruitment channels and promotes cross-border exchange of innovation resources.
Competition Introduction
The 2026 “Rising Jianghuai” Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is Anhui’s flagship global innovation event under the theme “Innovate and Start Businesses, Realize Dreams in Jianghuai”. It supports Anhui’s “1188” modern industrial system and nurtures emerging and future industries.
The competition has domestic divisions across China plus overseas tracks in Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe. The process includes application review, preliminary contest, semi-final, due diligence and grand final. The total prize pool is 15 million RMB, with a top individual award of 500,000 RMB. Winners also receive tailored support: talent policies, industrial scenarios, investment connections and incubation services.
Since launch, the competition has drawn nearly 15,000 global projects. Many outstanding ventures have settled in Anhui to fuel the province’s innovation and emerging industry development.
