2023 Smart China Expo Key Projects Signing Ceremony Held Successfully

On the afternoon of September 4th, the key projects signing ceremony of 2023 Smart China Expo was held at Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. There are three -orientations of the signing ceremony.

Goal orientation: focusing on "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system for investment promotion.

The signing ceremony, revolving around the theme of "pooling together wisdom and strength", has continuously increased the efforts in investment attraction for the "33618"- related industries in the city. As a result of deep communication with domestic and foreign industry-leading enterprises, 84 major projects have been signed, with a combined formal contract amount of 213.86 billion yuan, 11 projects worth 5-10 billion yuan, and 5 projects worth over 10 billion yuan. Among them, there are 34 projects in the three leading industries worth of 1 trillion yuan each, with a combined formal contract amount of 109.3 billion yuan, accounting for 51.1% of the total; there are 23 projects in the three pillar industries worth 500 billion yuan each, with a combined formal contract amount of 46.59 billion yuan, accounting for 21.8% of the total. These new actions will strongly support the construction of the city’s "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system.

Ecological orientation: improving the factors supply of production and research and development for intelligent connected new energy vehicles

This year, with focus on the annual theme of "Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles," –we have promoted the signing of 19 projects in the field, with a combined formal contract amount of 68.8 billion yuan, accounting for 32.2% of the total. We will continue to supplement the needs of our city's automotive industry from industry, technology, capital, and other factors. For example, Powered by AliOS system, Banma Network Technology will promote the component industry chain of intelligent cockpit and cockpit-cabin integration; Chongqing Xidian Puhua Intelligent Robot Technology will build a business headquarters for intelligent driving basic software to foster an information technology application innovation industry ecosystem featuring "vehicle-grade chip + vehicle operating system"; PetroChina will cooperate with Aulton New Energy to build commercial battery swapping stations, further enriching and improving the usage scenarios of battery charging and swapping in our city. In addition, five strategic and technical cooperation agreements were signed with CRRC, CEPREI, and other companies on site. Chongqing is pressing the "iterative key" of attracting investment by creating an industrial ecosystem to shape new competitive advantages in the industry.

Market orientation: fully leverage the decisive role of the market in resource allocation

This year's Smart Expo will further strengthen its market orientation and provide services for "chain extension and expansion" by chain-leading enterprises in the city. A total of 13 B2B projects have been signed, with a combined formal contract amount of 31.12 billion yuan, covering fields such as intelligent connected new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, software information services, new energy, and new energy storage. For example, Yulong Group has signed an agreement with Huawei to jointly build the Huawei ultra-fast charging industry ecosystem; Konghui Automotive Technologies will establish a distinctive industrial cluster for air suspension, extending an "olive branch" to supporting enterprises such as Changzhou Shiqun Automobile; Unicom Digital Technology and DHC Software jointly promote the construction of smart cities. These new changes fully demonstrate the endogenous driving force for the prosperous development of Chongqing's industry.

In addition, this year's Smart Expo has promoted the signing of 7 foreign investment projects with a combined formal contract amount of 9.62 billion yuan. Sichuan and other -provincial regions have signed a number of major projects on site.

The successful signing of major industrial projects at this Smart Expo will effectively promote the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in our city, continuously improve the level of modern industrial system construction, timely grasp the emerging growth points of international industries, and take a solid step towards building a national important advanced manufacturing center.
