WORLD MADAM 2023 China Annual Awards Ceremony Held in Shanghai

The WORLD MADAM 2023 China Annual Awards Ceremony was held on the afternoon of July 21, 2023, at the St. Regis Hotel in Shanghai.

After intense competitions in the preliminary rounds and finals, Cai Peiyu, the provincial champion from Jiangsu, and Duan Yang Weili, the city champion from Shanghai, emerged as the national champions. They were crowned in recognition of their outstanding performances. Additionally, Tao Weihua from Zhejiang secured the highest votes to become the People's Choice Champion, while Huang Lin, a 65-year-old from Shaanxi, received the Honorary Champion title.

The theme of this year's awards ceremony was "Moving Towards the Future," aiming to provide more support to entrepreneurial women in the post-pandemic era. By fostering open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, the event sought to inspire more women to excel in their roles as caregivers, family managers, and entrepreneurs, fully realizing their self-worth.

The awards ceremony garnered attention and support from various dignitaries, including Ambassador Munir Akram, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations; Mr. Jim Rogers, renowned global investment guru; Mr. Richard T. Jordan, Dean of UN Non-governmental Organizations; Dame Gloria Starr Kins, Editor-in-Chief of Social & Diplomatic Review; Dr. Jude Elie, a presidential candidate from Haiti and Dr. Tak Chio Cheong, President of International Alliance for TCM Cancer Research & Cure Inc. They conveyed their congratulations to the awards ceremony through video messages, expressing their admiration for World Madam and its founder, Anni Huang, for her remarkable achievements.

The event commenced with the opening speech by Ms. Yang Xiuping, Vice President of China Public Relations Association. It also featured Professor Zheng Qingping, Strategic Advisor of the World Madam Group, and Professor Zheng Mingzhi, former Vice President of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, who shared their insights on stage.

Special guests Professor Ge Yi from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and former Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Committee Propaganda Department, Professor He Tianfa, served as the Chairpersons of the Preliminary and Final Evaluation Committees, respectively. The judging panel comprised representatives from various countries and regions, including Professor Tang Liangxing, the Honorary President of World Madam, as well as Chairpersons from the United States, the Netherlands, Monaco, New Zealand, and Macau.

The event was jointly financed by the Meinian Health Group’s Meinian Lilac Butler, and Everest Group, jointly sponsored by World Madam (Qingdao) International Cultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., Shanghai Chunhua Lily Culture and Art Communication Co., and Shanghai Ninining Technology Co., Ltd. More than 50 renowned companies, including Shanghai Xincheng Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., World Madame Group Limited, and Jiangsu Yanghe Distillery Co., Ltd., participated and supported the event.

Key figures in attendance included Anni Huang, the Founder of the World Madam Global Brand and Chairwoman of the World Madam Group; Zhou Chunhua, the 2020 Global Champion of World Madam and the Executive Chairwoman for the China region; Gao Xiaoyun, the Global Executive Vice Chairwoman; Steven Hugh, the Honorary Chairman of World Madam USA; Robert Zhu, the Executive Chairman of the World Madam Foundation; Cici Zhang, the Executive Chairwoman of World Madam Europe; Cyril Christope, the Executive Chairwoman of World Madam Monaco; as well as Zhong Jianming, Li Min, Zhang Lili, Sun Jingling, and Pang Ningfang, the executive vice chairpersons of World Madam China, along with various committee members, distinguished guests, and media friends, totaling over 500 attendees who witnessed this grand event.

In her speech, Zhou Chunhua expressed her delight in providing an international platform for exchange and learning through the World Madam event. She emphasized the importance of promoting cultural exchange among nations, enhancing the cultural literacy of participating women, fostering friendships and collaborations, advancing global cultural integration and development, improving women's education and professional environments, and building a shared human community where women can effectively contribute.

A total of 99 candidates from China qualified for the final round in 2023, which spanned four days and three nights. After the preliminary rounds, featuring self-introductions, intelligent Q&A, and talent displays, the judges selected various individual awards. Finally, 47 finalists competed for the top three spots and other major awards. The top three winners will represent China in the global finals to be held in New York, USA, in October 2023.
